Email from Matt Kovacic re: Preventive Health Screening
Consider This:
* Every 45 seconds someone has a stroke, Every 3 minutes someone dies of a stroke.
* Stroke is the #4 reason for deaths in the US
* 80% of all Strokes Can Be Prevented!!
Life Line Screening takes pride in the services we provide.
8 - 10% of all screening result in ABNORMAL to CRITICAL Findings. The Screenings are Effective and are Saving Lives!!
Please assist us in notifying the Community about the upcoming Preventive Health Screening at First Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, December 14, 2011.
To help spread the word, I will send you several announcements over the next few months, so you can share them with your members.
If you are interested in hosting a future screening, or would like flyers or posters for the upcoming Preventive Health Screening, please feel free to contact me.
I appreciate your commitment of leadership to the people you serve and the opportunity to work together for this needed cause.

Marysville Hope Center Discussed at Men's Breakfast
The men's group met for another fine breakfast this past Saturday. Our guest speaker this time was pastor Jessica Schulze who, along with our own Pastor Scott, is a member of the Marysville Area Ministerial Association. Pastor Jessica shared with us how the vision of the Hope Center is progressing. We first heard an overview of what the center is. The web site for the center summarizes it well, “To create a centralized location to house various social services, ministries and programs provided by the faith based community and its partners to better serve the needs of Union County residents.” Jessica provided further detail with much zeal about the successes and challenges that lie ahead.
The Hope Center has several areas of service and will need different groups to lead each area. We at First Church will be working with the furniture bank.
